Mc G is a jerk. Yakima locks fit the rack system perfectly and adds a tightness to to the clip. Each lock pack is different keyed system altogether. Each key is numbered a different key design for every lock pack. It is impossible to have the same key in every pack. If you need new keys for old locks your out of luck just buy a new set of locks from a dealer I did when locks began to fail. Buying a new set is smart because the E bay owner knows where you might live and could take that rack apart leaving you with a "empty" roof. If you lose a key you can get a new key by joining "The Key Club" from Yakima. They have every key's delicate key in stock just give the key number to Yakima and they make a copy for a"Itty Bitty" fee. Locks make sense because a current Yakima rack system if fully equipped can cost you over $1000 or more. Not Cheap !
