Pet insurance is the best idea we as humans have had for our feathered,furry, scaly,fuzzy four footed winged and hoofed pets. This is a great investment, but nothing like people insurance. Reimbursed type is simple to do but not what I would prefer.
With the reimbursement method you pay for all animals treatment(s) and visits and vaccines any surgeries etc.etc. basically any thing the vet does for the animal and the insurance covers it you pay first to the vet, you have to give the vet a claim form to fill out for you(you receive when enroll) You must make a copy of the bill you paid and a copy of the claim form (for your records) the original goes to the insurance company you will be reimbursed for the bills you pay at time of service.

You choose a veterinarian from a list that is approved and show proof of insurance when you take your animal(s) in for any reason you will recive a discount. The vet fills out all paper work and submits it, he/she gets paid.If have multiple pets a discount may be in order..Its always the same you go in pet(s) get treated vet gets paid.This will all depend on the Insurance Company you select VPI is good and so is Trupanion
